Live Concert - Booking Manager / Talent Buyer

Our work includes club events, warehouse-style gatherings, listening experiences, record releases, and artist-focused programming across New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, and other key music markets.

Position Overview

Respekt Music is seeking a motivated, culturally connected Marketing Manager / Event Marketing Lead to support the promotion of live events, releases, and special projects.

This is a project-based and commission-based role , ideal for someone who understands live concerts, underground electronic music, nightlife, digital marketing, ticket sales, and audience development. The role is best suited for a self-directed marketer who can take ownership of campaigns and help convert strong programming into strong attendance.

The Marketing Manager will work closely with Respekt Music to plan and execute marketing campaigns for individual events and select ongoing initiatives. Compensation will be structured per project, per campaign, and/or through commission tied to ticket sales, sponsorship revenue, partnerships, or other agreed performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute marketing campaigns for live concerts, music releases, and special projects.

Create campaign plans designed to drive ticket sales, awareness, audience growth, and community engagement.

Manage event marketing timelines, including announce dates, ticket launch schedules, content rollouts, reminders, and final sales pushes.

Coordinate digital marketing across platforms including Meta platforms, email campaigns, SMS, and other relevant channels.

Assist with paid Meta advertising strategy, including audience targeting, campaign copy, creative direction, and performance tracking.

Identify and activate street-level, nightlife, and community-based promotional opportunities.

Ideal Candidate

Strong understanding of live concert ecosystem, underground electronic music, nightlife, club culture, and artist-driven events.

Experience marketing live concerts, nightlife events, festivals, record releases, cultural programming, or creative projects.

Strong writing skills for event copy, captions, emails, promotional blurbs, and campaign messaging.

Compensation

This is not a salaried position.

Compensation will be structured on a per-job, per-campaign, and/or commission basis, depending on the project.

Possible compensation structures may include:

A flat fee per event or campaign.

Commission based on ticket sales.

Commission based on sponsorships, partnerships, or promotional revenue brought in.

Hybrid compensation combining a project fee with performance incentives.

Final terms will be agreed upon in advance for each project.
