Healthcare Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2080
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens, Travel RN
• Location: Rochester, NY 14621 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Start Date: September 16, 2025
• End Date: December 16, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (unit assigned at time of offer)
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Colors: Navy and white (any combination)
• Orientation: 16 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Recent acute care nursing experience (within past 6 months)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
• BLS certification
• Ability to manage a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio
• Must be able to float to other units as needed
• Not accepting candidates within a 75-mile radius of Rochester, NY
• No first-time US assignments
• No RTO for Labor Day

RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, utilize rapid response teams, and perform peripheral line care
• Administer oxygen therapy (nasal cannula, face masks, portable tanks) and provide non-invasive airway management
• Implement isolation precautions and adhere to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float to other nursing units as required
