Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN) working across all units with crisis pay incentives! This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in diverse settings, including acute care, long-term care, emergency, and specialty units. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and physical examinations to ensure accurate and timely care.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations following aseptic techniques and medical documentation standards.
- Manage airway support including ventilator management and assist with complex procedures such as suturing, tube feeding, and gastric lavage.
- Coordinate patient care plans utilizing EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and radiology procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as behavioral health, geriatrics, pediatrics, trauma medicine (Level I & II trauma centers), ICU/PICU, hospice & palliative medicine, and infectious disease care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Support emergency response efforts in urgent care or emergency room settings by triaging patients and managing acute pain or infectious disease cases.
Experience
- Proven experience as an RN in diverse healthcare environments including hospital medicine, critical care (ICU/PICU), emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with medical terminology and coding (ICD-9/10; CPT).
- Prior experience working in specialized units like cardiology (cardiac catheterization), nephrology (dialysis), or ophthalmology is highly valued.
- Strong background in infection control protocols, sterile processing, aseptic technique, and advanced patient assessment skills.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations such as seniors in memory or long-term care settings; pediatric or neonatal care experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law, hospice & palliative medicine practices, trauma medicine protocols, and occupational health standards preferred.
