We’re looking for a hands-on Bar Manager / Floor Manager to join our front-of-house leadership team.

This role is primarily focused on running the floor and leading service . You’ll manage the guest experience, support and coach the FOH team, and help ensure each service runs smoothly from open to close.

Alongside your floor responsibilities, you’ll take ownership of the operational side of the bar program , including costing, inventory, ordering, vendor relationships, and bartender training. This is not a position where you’ll spend every shift behind the bar. You should be an experienced and confident bartender who can step in when needed, but your responsibility is to lead the program rather than execute it day to day.

Ultimately, you’ll be accountable for both the quality of service on the floor and the consistency, organization, and profitability of the bar program.

What You’ll Do

Floor Management, Primary Focus

• Lead the floor during service, managing sections, pacing, table turns, and the overall flow of the dining room
• Help deliver and maintain our modified French service model and established service standards
• Lead pre-shift meetings and provide ongoing training, feedback, and coaching to the FOH team
• Handle guest concerns and escalations with professionalism and good judgment
• Serve as Manager on Duty, including opening and closing responsibilities, cash handling, and POS oversight
• Work closely with the management team on scheduling and labor decisions based on weekly sales and cover forecasts
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor and proactively identify service issues before they impact the guest experience

Bar Program Ownership

• Own recipe costing, pour-cost analysis, beverage pricing, and margin management
• Manage inventory, ordering, vendor relationships, and appropriate par levels for spirits, beer, and bar supplies
• Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile variances, and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve profitability
• Maintain accurate and consistent recipes, specifications, and operating standards across the bar program
• Train and coach bartenders on technique, product knowledge, service standards, and consistency
• Partner with the broader management team on opportunities to strengthen the beverage program
• Step behind the bar when necessary due to call-outs, unexpected volume, or short staffing

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of floor management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
• Strong understanding of restaurant service and the ability to confidently lead a busy dining room
• Solid bartending skills and beverage knowledge, with the ability to competently cover the bar when necessary
• Strong working knowledge of beverage costing, pour cost, recipe costing, inventory management, and margin control
• A calm, clear leadership style and the ability to make good decisions under pressure
• Strong communication and coaching skills, with a genuine interest in developing the team
• Comfortable working with POS and reservation systems; experience with SevenRooms is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• NYC Food Protection Certificate / Food Handler certification
