• Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens
• Location: Rochester, NY 14621 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Facility Type: Tertiary Care Hospital
• Unit: 2800 MS/Tele
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/7/2025 – End: 1/6/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2080 per week
• Scrub Color: Navy and white combinations
• Charting System: Epic

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
• Ability to manage a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio
• Locum tenens must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; respond to emergencies using Rapid Response and Code teams
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• Administer and monitor respiratory therapies (nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management)
• Maintain strict isolation precautions and uphold infection control standards
• Accurately document patient care in Epic EHR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other units as required to support hospital staffing needs
