Job Title: Registered Nurse – Neonatal ICU (Contract)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Contract Duration: 3 months

Shift: Night Shift | 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM | 3 shifts per week (11.5 hrs each)

Hours: 34.5 hours per week | Every other weekend required

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team on a contract basis. The RN will provide advanced, compassionate care to critically ill and premature newborns while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients and families.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates.

• Monitor vital signs, ventilators, IV lines, and incubators.

• Administer medications, nutrition, and treatments as prescribed.

• Assist physicians with procedures and respond to neonatal emergencies.

• Support and educate families regarding their infant’s condition, care, and discharge planning.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and NICU-specific protocols.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (required).

• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience .

• BLS and NRP certification required; additional neonatal certifications preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity situations.

• Compassionate communicator with strong family support skills.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Contract Length: 3 months (with possible extension).

• Shift: 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM, 3 shifts per week.

• Hours per Week: ~34.5.

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
