LPN - long term care

WorkFit Medical Staffing is seeking skilled LPNs to provide exceptional long-term care to residents in a nursing home with a great reputation. As a long-term care LPN for WorkFit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and earn higher than average take home pay, as well as make a huge difference in the lives of your residents!

Your LPN responsibilities will include the following:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patient’s physician
• Monitor and record patient’s medical condition and response to treatment
• Coordinate with other health care professionals, such as doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and social workers for comprehensive care
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including meals, bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Respond to emergencies and urgent issues as they arise
• Document patient’s medical records according to established standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with healthcare procedures and regulations

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of New York.
• Previous experience in NURSING HOME or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients and healthcare team members.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are preferred.
