Software engineer
Software Engineer (ML), DoorDash, Inc., New York, NY. Develop production machine learning solutions to build a world class personalized shopping experience for a diverse and expanding retail space. Partner with engineering and product leaders to help shape the product roadmap applying ML. Conceptualize, design, implement, and validate ML algorithmic improvements to grow and personalize the user experience. Use robust data and machine learning infrastructure to implement new ML solutions to make the consumer search experience more relevant, seamless, and delightful across grocery, convenience, and many other retail categories. Collaborate with multi-level teams to drive production level machine learning strategies to produce creative solutions to end-user problems. Telecommuting Permitted. (SWEML-S-102-NY) 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range: $161,300 - $241,900/yr. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or closely related discipline and two (2) years of experience in the applied/data science or software engineering industry including machine learning.Qualifying experience must include the following skills (which may be gained concurrently); Programming languages such as Java, Python; Data structures; CI/CD; Docker; SQL or NoSQL Database; Building and deploying machine learning systems in production by using frameworks such as PyTorch, or TensorFlow; Building machine learning models and their supporting pipelines in personalization or causal inference fields; Algorithm areas such as ranking, personalization, query understanding, time series forecasting, causal inference, contextual bandit.
