Speech Language Pathologist

Provides Speech language therapy evaluations and treatment for the Children's population utilizing a total communication approach



Pay Range: $66,173.40 - $68,673.40 yearly; located on years of practice.



Responsibilities:

»Performs individual assessments on the speech and language and feeding/swallowing needs of participants.

»Provides individual and group speech therapy services

»Formally assesses participants utilizing speech and language and feeding and swallowing assessment tools.

»Provides written documentation of results of all assessments.

»Provides goals and objectives and written summaries of goals as needed

»Follows all agency policy and procedures and demonstrates a continuous regard for student safety, personal safety, and safety of others
Qualifications

General Requirements:

»Master’s degree in Speech Pathology with NYS license as a Speech – Language Pathologist, Certificate of Clinical competence through the American Speech and Hearing Association

» practice with Developmental Disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred

»Must maintain qualifications in the crisis intervention procedure of the agency

»Must be capable at all times of initiating or assisting in all components of the crisis intervention of the agency

»Must be capable at all times of assisting occupants in the orderly evacuation of the facility, by both primary and secondary paths in the event of fire or other emergency.
