Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients across high, moderate, and low risk categories in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor maternal-fetal status, administer medications, assist with labor progression and delivery, and manage postpartum recovery.
- Perform routine and focused assessments, monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, and progress of labor; respond to changes with appropriate interventions.
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and care coordination with physicians, midwives, and other members of the care team.
- Participate in orientation and cross-training across OB services; float among OB/GYN units as needed to meet volume and acuity.
- Maintain safe practice standards, infection control, charting accuracy, and compliance with policies and procedures; respond to obstetric emergencies with readiness for neonatal resuscitation when required.

Requirements
- Active NY RN license
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Ability to float among OB/GYN units to meet unit needs
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a high-acuity obstetric setting
