ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - COMPUTER SCIENCE

The Department of Computer Science at Ithaca College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting August 2026. We seek a dynamic teacher-scholar committed to undergraduate education and to contributing to the continued evolution of our collaborative and forward-looking computer science program.
Applicants from *all areas of computer science* are welcome, with *particular encouragement for those specializing in artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, media-focused computation, computer systems, or cybersecurity*. This is an exciting time to join our department. We are in the process of *launching new majors in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science*, as well as *new minors in Artificial Intelligence, App Development, Data-Centric Computing, and Computer Systems*. New faculty will have the opportunity to *s*hape and teach in these programs, and to develop courses aligned with their own areas of expertise.

*Qualifications:*
A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required. We welcome applicants with teaching experience and a strong commitment to preparing students professionally through an immersive, interdisciplinary liberal arts education. Recent doctoral candidates who are ABD (All But Dissertation) are also encouraged to apply.

*Hiring Range:*
$80,000 - $85,000, dependent on discipline, qualifications and experience.
