Colucci Carting is actively seeking dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused CDL Class B Drivers to join our growing waste management team.

This is a hands-on position operating a rear load garbage truck throughout the Towns of Brookhaven, Riverhead, and Islip . Drivers must be comfortable working both inside and outside of the truck and assisting with collection duties when needed.

We are looking for reliable team players who take pride in their work, respect equipment, and understand the importance of professionalism and safety on the road.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a rear load garbage truck on residential and commercial collection routes
• Assist the back man with loading garbage into the truck when necessary
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of assigned truck
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
• Drive safely and professionally in residential neighborhoods and busy streets
• Work efficiently as part of a collection team to complete routes on time
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class B License with clean driving record
• Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience required
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Comfortable getting in and out of the truck throughout the day
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Team-oriented attitude and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• Waste management or sanitation experience
• Rear load truck experience
• Knowledge of local Long Island routes
