Front End Developer
FRONT END DEVELOPER
Developing great software takes more than just simply writing code. To build that team, a company must find the right mix of technical, business and leadership talent.
We are looking for a proactive, highly-motivated senior level Front End Developer to help us develop and continually improve our products. Someone who understands the importance of Responsive design to build great user experiences. The right candidate will possess knowledge of several modern programming languages and design tools and demonstrate the ability to rapidly learn others. You will also have enough creative smarts to suggest and implement improvements that will enhance the user experience. This is an important addition to our engineering group and an amazing growth opportunity for an individual who can code great software and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
- Rapidly iterate on product and platform features by writing elegant, reliable code to build robust, lasting, and scalable products
- Collaborate with other team members to make recommendations based on the company’s needs
- Conduct code reviews and specification conformance testing as defined by the selected software development methodology before deploying to production and staging servers
- Monitor application performance and review any application failures in staging or production
- Ensure technical issues are quickly resolved and implement strategies and solutions to help reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence
Qualifications
- 4+ years on the job experience in building and deploying web-based products, software design and development
- DEVELOPMENT: Responsive Web Design, Cross Browsers Compatibility, Wireframe, Backend/API Integration
- LANGUAGES/FRAMEWORKS. Experiences in a majority of the following: Bootstrap, Javascript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, LESS, JSON, Knockout/AngularJS, Backbone, Ajax.
- PROGRAMS: Photoshop/ Visual Studio / GIT /Agile Management Systems (e.g., JIRA)
- Comfortable with an iterative design process that includes accepting and managing feedback and constructive criticism
- Ability to deliver quality work within very tight timelines
- Strong communication & organizational skills
The following skills/understanding are a plus
- Back-end experience with C# and .NET
- Understand SDLC, principals of design, UX and agile methodology
- Use test-driven development to guide implementation
- Excellent Cross-Browser debugger
