Sanitation Team Member
The Sanitation Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company quality standards. This role plays a key part in preventing contamination and ensuring all equipment, surfaces, and work areas meet cleanliness and hygiene requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facility areas in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery for thorough cleaning following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and sanitation solutions safely and effectively.
- Inspect equipment and work areas to verify cleanliness before production restarts.
- Maintain accurate sanitation logs, checklists, and other required documentation.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and all company safety and food safety policies.
- Report any equipment issues, safety hazards, or sanitation concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to ensure sanitation activities are completed efficiently and safely.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food manufacturing sanitation preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Ability to work in wet, cold, or humid environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
Work Schedule
- Hours and schedule may vary depending on production needs. Start time can vary anytime between 6pm-8pm and shifts are typically about 8-10 hours past the start time. At this time Monday-Friday.
