Position Overview:

Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we are looking for an Systems Engineer to join our Service Operations group. This position will support the acceleration of physical asset deployments and facilitate maintenance of deployed infrastructure through the enablement and enhancement of vital support services.

Location: This position is onsite in our East Syracuse, NY office.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Service Operations group in the delivery of essential Hidden Level services. Service areas include:
  1. Hardware deployment and field operations
  2. Technical support services
  3. Depot/repair operations
• Create, implement, or enhance software tools leveraged by the Service Operations group, with a focus on automating workflows and increasing efficiency.
• Increase reliability and availability of distributed sensor networks by fostering enhancements to health & integrity monitoring capabilities.
• Serve as a bridge between the Engineering Development teams and the Service Operations group to develop new capabilities and transition them into operations.
• Transition development engineering triage and troubleshooting capabilities to Tier 1 / Tier 2 technical support team members.
• Coordinate with cross-functional team members in manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering, for the implementation of new service processes, solutions, and systems.
• Generate documentation to support effective use of service tools and execution of workflows.
• Analyze operational data, develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and identify trends to assess opportunities for operational improvements and monitor results of operational changes.

• Experience in service operations of complex, distributed, electronic systems.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions.

• Technical competency to drive the implementation of new service solutions and systems. New solutions may be a combination of software, hardware, and process based.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience in C++ and Python application development
• Experience using configuration management technologies (e.g., Git, Perforce).
• Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Experience with or ability to learn:
  1. Javascript/Flask Web Framework for UI.
  2. Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with distributed sensor devices
• Experience in support or sustainment engineering

Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options.

Salary Range : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $89,000 to $115,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
