Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) Social Workers Needed ($90,000/yr)

Workforce1 Healthcare Career Center is partnering with top NYC healthcare providers to connect qualified Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) Social Workers to an immediate opening for a hospital in the Bronx.

Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) Social Worker Duties:

The MCT Social Worker delivers crisis intervention, stabilization, and prevention services, providing quality care to diverse populations across Bronx County. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities .

• Respond to mental health emergencies in the field (homes, schools, streets, etc.)
• Provide on-the-spot counseling and de-escalation.
• Ensure the safety of the individual and others present.
• Conduct rapid mental health assessments to determine the level of risk (e.g., suicide, self-harm, harm to others).
• Determine the need for hospitalization, outpatient care, or community support.
• Coordinate with hospitals, shelters, detox programs, or outpatient providers.
• Refer clients to mental health services, substance use treatment, or social services.
• Work with law enforcement, EMS, schools, shelters, and families.
• Act as a bridge between the person in crisis and ongoing care systems.
• Complete detailed reports and crisis assessments.
• Document interventions, outcomes, and safety plans.
• Maintain records in accordance with agency and legal guidelines (e.g., HIPAA).

Qualifications:

• Masters in social work (MSW) and NYS LMSW licensure required.
• Minimum 1 year of crisis intervention experience and 2 years in mental health.
• Experience with diverse populations (i.e., mental illness, homelessness, substance abuse)
• Experience with EPIC or other EMR systems
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred not required.
• Mobile Crisis Team and/or Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) experience strongly preferred.
• Full-time and part-time positions, open to shift flexibility.
• Position requires a valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Travel throughout the Bronx County is essential
