About the Position
Job Title: Level 2 Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two years of experience required License: RN License (New York only) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only) Must-Have: Telemetry experience required Description: The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is responsible for providing competent care based on established standards. This role includes an expanded set of responsibilities which may involve charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member tasks. Candidates must have telemetry experience and a valid New York RN license. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is also required. This position requires a commitment to clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research based on evidence. Rotating shift schedules include every other weekend and holiday coverage based on unit needs.
