JOB SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant will support the preparation, management, analysis, and reporting of the company’s financial records as an integral member of the accounting and finance team. As part of a growing and dynamic organization, this position encounters, performs, and learns a wide variety of things, and therefore requires versatility and a commitment to excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze and review transaction postings for accuracy and correct coding
• Manage processes (data review, validation, imports) for accurate preparation of customer invoices.
• Perform efficient analyses of data sets and create reports, charts, graphs.
• Review and manage intercompany transactions and processes.
• Maintains an organized electronic file system for accounting and related documents.
• Performs various monthly balance sheet reconciliations – accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue, etc.
• Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
• Applies knowledge of GAAP to create and maintain appropriate policies and procedures.
• Substantiates financial transactions and data by reviewing and auditing supporting documents.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Support various audits and compliance tasks.
• Support financial reporting, management reporting (KPI’s, etc.), and other reporting needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required. Masters or CPA license preferred.
• At least four years of related experience is required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software systems.
• Experience in a Public Accounting Firm is a plus.
