Work Location: <\/b><\/span> Remote in New York or Texas. If in New York and local to company headquarters there are days the Software Developer is expected to be in the office for company meetings.

Position Purpose: <\/b><\/span> The Software Developer is responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of the organization and its clients. The Software Developer collaborates with cross -functional teams to develop innovative solutions, optimize system performance, and enhance user experience. The Software Developer will work on both new and existing projects, ensuring that software is reliable, scalable, and adheres to best practices and industry standards. This position plays a key role in driving technical excellence, improving business processes, and supporting the continuous delivery of high -quality software solutions.

• Project Estimates and Communication: <\/b><\/span> Based on the understanding of the project scope and complexity, provides accurate time and resource estimates for the work assigned to you. Informs stakeholders of project progress through regular updates and communicates any potential delays or blockers in a timely manner.
  <\/li>
• Application Development and Code Quality: <\/b><\/span> Builds software according to the functional and technical specifications provided, ensuring the application meets all defined requirements. Writes clean, maintainable, and scalable code that adheres to industry best practices and team coding standards.
  <\/li>
• Troubleshooting and Debugging Existing Applications: <\/b><\/span> Diagnoses and resolves technical issues in existing applications. Utilizes debugging tools and techniques to pinpoint problems, whether they are in the code, environment, or external dependencies, and apply fixes to restore functionality.
  <\/li>
• Group Presentations: <\/b><\/span> Confidently and effectively presents work during code reviews. Presenting includes explaining complex technical decisions, and effectively demonstrating how the implementation addresses the problem. Responds to questions or feedback from the team.
  <\/li>
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

  Required Skills/Abilities <\/b>
  <\/p><\/div>

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs and performance issues in existing applications.
    <\/li>
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web development.
    <\/li>
  • Practical experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
    <\/li>
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    <\/li>
  • Excellent problem -solving and analytical skills.
    <\/li>
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    <\/li>
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.Extensive knowledge of coding best practices, languages, and systems.

    Experience: <\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in web development <\/span> . <\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Bachelor's <\/span><\/span> degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field <\/span><\/span> preferred. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum team environment <\/span> . <\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Strong experience with common programming languages including C#, Python, etc.
      <\/li>
    • Experience using debugging tools, performance profilers, and logging systems <\/span> . <\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Familiarity <\/span>with relational databases <\/span> . <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul><\/div>

      Physical Requirements: <\/b>
      <\/p>

      • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
        <\/li>
      • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
        <\/li><\/ul><\/div>

        Annual Salary Range: <\/span><\/b>$75,000.00 to $175,000.00
        <\/p>

        Compensation: <\/b><\/b> Salary is established based on various factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history, job -related knowledge, education and training, skills, and geographic location. <\/span>
