Job Title: Fireplace/ Awning Installer

Position Overview: Seeking a full- time Fireplace and Awning Installer who is a skilled technician that will be responsible for assembling, positioning, and installing wood, gas, electric fireplaces, stoves, inserts and Sun Setter Awnings in residential settings. This position will ensure safety compliance with building codes, manage venting and gas line connections, perform structural framing, masonry, and finish work to provide a fully functional product. Job included installation of awnings and retractable shade structures to homes/ buildings. Responsibilities include measuring sites, drilling, and mounting units safely while following instructions. The role requires construction knowledge, power tool proficiency, working at heights, and heavy lifting. Key Responsibilities Installation: Safely install, test, and troubleshoot electrical components, venting systems (direct vent, chimney liners)and gas lines. Assemble and securely mount awnings. Site Preparation: Perform on-site measurements, mark, and prepare installation sites; locate studs/joists to ensure secure fastening framing, and demolition of existing structures if necessary. Planning, Compliance & Safety: Adhere to local building codes, fire regulations, and manufacturer specifications to meet structural standards and prevent hazards. Read and interpret blueprints/ guidelines. Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose, service, and repair existing fireplace units, including cleaning flues. Perform routine maintenance and repair damaged awnings, including frame or fabric issues. Customer Service: Communicate with clients regarding installation plans, providing a professional and courteous demeanor. Explain safe operation and maintenance procedures to homeowners. Logistics: Load/unload equipment and maintain tools. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Experience with technical skills: Knowledge of plumbing (gas lines), electrical work, construction and carpentry. Physical Abilities: Ability to lift 60100+ lbs. and work in tight spaces, on rooftops, or on ladders. Experience: Previous experience in construction, carpentry preferred Flexible/ Dependable: Ability to work longer shifts (as needed) to complete projects. Licensing: Valid driver's license. Typical Work Environment & Schedule: Work is done both indoors and outdoors at residential properties. Hours are typically 4050 hours per week (Mon-Fri), with increased demand and some Saturdays required during peak fall/winter seasons. Attention to detail, good communication and customer service skills. Compensation: Full time, Monday Friday 9-5 (Occasional nights and weekends)
