3-5+ years of experience supporting or building Epic Beaker modules, with hands-on AP workflow expertise.

Strong understanding of laboratory and pathology workflows, terminology, and regulations.

Experience with system build, testing, troubleshooting, and go-live support.

Familiarity with HL7 interfaces and laboratory device integrations.

Ability to partner effectively with clinical end-users and technical teams.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Skills and Requirements

The AP Beaker Certified Analyst is responsible for the design, build, optimization, testing, and ongoing support of the Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP) module. This role partners closely with clinical laboratory teams, pathology departments, technical stakeholders, and cross-functional Epic application teams to ensure workflows are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, validate, and optimize Epic Beaker AP functionality, including specimen tracking, pathology workflows, reporting, and integrations.

Collaborate with lab leadership, pathologists, and operational stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into functional system configurations.

Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for Beaker AP-related incidents.

Participate in system upgrades, regression testing, and new feature implementations.

Develop and maintain documentation, including workflow diagrams, job aids, technical configurations, and change controls.

Serve as a subject-matter expert for AP module functionality, interoperability, and cross-application workflows (e.g., Beaker CP, Grand Central, Cadence).

Support end-users through training, go-live assistance, and ongoing optimization efforts.

Collaborate with interface, reporting, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operation of integrations and analytics pipelines.

Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards (CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, etc.).
