Cell Culture Specialist

Job Overview The Regenerative Medicine Laboratory at the Tisch MS Research Center of New York is seeking a Cell Culture Specialist for cGMP manufacturing of autologous human cell therapy products currently undergoing clinical trial testing to treat multiple sclerosis. The tissue culture technician position represents an exciting opportunity to join the Tisch MS Research Center of New York, an independent research center dedicated to finding the cause of and a cure for multiple sclerosis. Key Responsibilities:- Perform all tasks associated with the sterile manufacture of autologous mesenchymal stem cellderived clinical cell product following batch records and SOPs
- Perform cell culture operations using appropriate aseptic technique within an isolator/clean room environment.
- Prepare reagents in support of cell culture and routine analytical testing
- Maintain inventory logs for necessary cell culture reagents and supplies
- Strictly adhere to SOPs and cGMP regulations, and accurately complete documentation associated with clinical manufacturing
- Work as part of a team to execute cGMP runs in close collaboration with QA and cell manufacturing managers
- Perform daily environmental monitoring
- Requires bachelor’s degree and/or advanced degree in biological sciences
- At least 1 year of laboratory experience and aseptic cell culture is required
- Knowledge of cGMP is preferred
- Experience working in clean room environment is preferred
- Exceptional organizational and timemanagement skills required. Candidate should be a detailoriented individual with above average written and oral communication skills in English.
