As a Construction Manager, you’ll be focused on supporting the delivery of water and wastewater construction projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of a team of onsite support personnel and subcontractors. Additionally, you’ll support management of the construction team, project budgets, scheduling, coordination of work, reporting and leading on-site meetings with staff, subcontractors, and the client in accordance with the requirements specified in the contract documents. You’ll be the primary point of contact for the client. Also, as construction manager, you’ll have accountability for delivering a construction project within the contracted scope, schedule, and budget.

We’ll rely on your demonstrated experience in delivering projects, winning work, and collaborating with others to strengthen our growth. We will look to you to provide technical leadership and oversee all aspects of water construction of infrastructure projects, quality of engineering work performed, and client satisfaction. You will act as a mentor to aid in the growth of our junior staff. Your expertise will be utilized as you work closely with Jacobs Client Account Managers and Operations teams in pursuit of water opportunities in the area. This will be accomplished by advancing long-term existing relationships with water clients in the NY metro area at the state, city and county levels, leading the development of execution strategies, and supporting proposal and presentation preparation activities.

The base salary range for this position is $170,500.00 to $225,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Here's what you'll need

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in NY

• OSHA 30 Hour Training

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or 20+ years of experience managing construction projects.

• Construction management experience on water and wastewater projects

• Ability to work onsite full time in the New York City area.

• Proficiency in the use of computer to prepare reports using programs such as Word, Excel and other construction related programs.

• Established relationships with NYCDEP and NYC DDC.

• Must possess the physical ability to move around an active construction site

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• Registration as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

• Proven as excellent team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Keen eye for quality control during inspections and subcontractor oversight

• Demonstrated highly effective written skills, timely documenting daily activities and reporting of site issues.

• Communication with multiple stakeholders, multiple sites, and Subcontractors

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

170,500.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

250,000.00
