Inbound/Outbound Team Member, Micro Kitchen
The Inbound/Receiving Team Member provides support as a member of the Warehouse team through receiving shipments, ensuring quality control throughout the supply chain process, and assisting with managing inventory levels in the Micro Kitchen facility.
Responsibilities:
Monitor stock levels and replenish raw materials, as necessary.
Be able to perform all functions of inbound receiving related to receiving, inspecting, logging and storing of all delivered products, if necessary.
Unload truck shipments to be counted, recorded in computer system, and staged for stocking work centers and storage.
Inspect arriving product for compliance with Whole Foods Market quality standards.
Complete accurate count and ensure order accuracy.
Receive and affix sticker-based labels to product for labeling record.
Restack product as needed for storage and staging of product to be stocked.
Rotate inventory according to First In First Out (FIFO) or First Expired First Out (FEFO).
Clear receiving areas of product, recyclable materials, and trash.
Communicate with p roduction t eam to ensure timely replenishment of product.
Comprehend, interpret, and analyze instructions, correspondence, packing lists, pick sheets/fulfillment orders, inventory count sheets, and purchase orders.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
Verify receiving common carrier documentation and driver check in.
Unload common carrier trucks-cross dock.
Verify quantities received match common carrier documentation.
Move product to assigned storage locations within the facility .
Qualifications:
0-1 years of experience in a food manufacturing facility or perishable distribution center .
Ability to work well with others, self-motivated , and capable of working independently with little supervision .
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the facility, including nights, weekends and holidays as required .
A genuine passion for food and a deep commitment to our mission of nurturing both people and the planet .
Ability to perform physical requirements of position .
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must adhere to company dress code and standards of production kitchen dress and PPE .
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodation.
Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
May require use of ladders.
