Oriana is the latest venture from Chef Andy Quinn and Sommelier Cedric Nicaise, an evolution of The Noortwyck and a new expression of their shared vision.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and cleanliness, and leading the team during service. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled culinary professional with strong leadership, organizational, and cooking skills to thrive in a fast-paced and creative environment.

Responsibilities include :

• Assist the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, production, and plating.
• Supervise and lead line cooks and kitchen staff during service.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize food waste.
• Collaborate with the Executive team on menu planning, recipe development, and specials.
• Train and mentor kitchen team members to ensure professional development and high performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment at all times.

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
