Description
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a licensed psychologist with specialty postdoctoral training in child and adolescent mental health. Opportunities for scholarship related to clinical and educational efforts are encouraged, as well as within the faculty member's area of expertise as extramural funding permits. This opportunity is focused on improving the health of the children in our community through integrating behavioral health into pediatric specialty care clinics and through expanding capacity of traditional behavioral health clinics to meet the needs of these families.
The Department of Psychiatry provides a full continuum of care, including a comprehensive psychiatric emergency program; adult, geriatric and child services (inpatient, outpatient and partial hospitalization programs); addiction services; a variety of community-based treatment programs; specialized programs for Spanish-speaking patients and deaf/hard-of-hearing patients, and more. The successful candidate will enjoy close working relationships with colleagues from other disciplines, including psychiatry, family therapy, nursing, social work, mental health counseling and chemical dependency.
