PERMANENT PLACEMENT Special Education Teacher - New York, NY

Soliant isseeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a 2nd grade co-teaching classroom for the 20252026 school year in New York City. Youll be working alongside a highly experienced general education teacher with 10 years of tenure, supporting a class comprised mostly of general education students, with some students requiring IEP accommodations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate daily with the general education co-teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive instruction

• Support IEP implementation, accommodations, and modifications for students with special needs

• Track student progress and contribute to ongoing assessments and data collection

• Engage with families, service providers, and the school team to support student growth

• Contribute to lesson planning, differentiation, and classroom management

Required Qualifications:

• New York State Special Education Teaching Certification (required by start date)

• Willing to accept newly licensed teachers with appropriate certification

• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

• Passion for early elementary education and inclusive teaching practices
