Provides comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Key duties include monitoring maternal/fetal health, coaching through labor, managing pain, assisting with deliveries, and supporting postpartum recovery and breastfeeding. They must be knowledgeable in newborn assessment and acute, compassionate care.
