IMHS is incredibly excited to announce we are expanding and building a full service psychotherapy practice to compliment our existing psychiatric care team. We will offer a mix of in-person and virtual psychotherapy including individual, group, couples, and family therapy.

Our Clinical Director will provide individual and group supervision as well as training to ensure all clinicians feel supported as they grow. As a psychodynamic practice, supervision will be a safe and reflective space to learn about utilizing different modalities and evidence based practices to develop as a clinician.

• Added bonus if you have additional training in a specific modality or evidence based practice.

Role description:

We are looking for both part-time and full-time clinicians who will be responsible for providing psychotherapy services to individuals (adults and children), couples, and families. Part-time clinicians will be expected to manage a caseload of 15 clients per week and full-time clinicians will be expected to maintain a caseload of 30 per week. Therapists will be able to expand their caseload and ramp up in a manner in-line with their unique abilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct initial, biopsychosocial assessments, creating appropriate individualized treatment plans
• Use clinical tools and screeners such as PHQ-9, GAD-7, C-SSRS, EPDS, etc. to inform treatment
• Provide therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, etc.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EHR system while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
• Maintain ongoing scheduling and communication with clients and collaborative treatment team
• Lead or co-lead groups with different focus based on specialty (if interested in running groups)
• Participate in scheduled individual or group supervision, case conferences, team meetings, etc.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent
• Valid New York State license to practice as a psychotherapist (LMSW, LCSW)
• Will consider candidates who have recently graduated if they have passed the licensing exam
