This is a key management position within GreenLight Biosciences Rochester operations, which is responsible for production planning, purchasing, logistics (transportation, warehousing) and inventory control at our Rochester operations. This is a working manager role that requires an individual to seamlessly transition between strategic and tactical work while providing leadership cross-functionally. Understanding and acting upon the production plan, inventory and procurement of raw materials are necessary to achieve success. Responsibilities also include running the Supply Chain portion of our ERP system. The position is also expected to work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting of inventory in a timely manner is critical. Effective communication and interactions, cross-functionally with corporate teams, manufacturing and finance teams will be essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply.
1. Follows all Company, Site, Federal, State and Local Rules and Regulations. Develop and follow established work procedures to make decisions and act in a manner to achieve safe, compliant, and environmentally sound operations is essential.
2. Key member of the plant management team that develops and executes against the production plan, warehousing, transportation, tolling customer fulfillment, production planning, procurement and inventory control and reporting.
3. Leads team members performing the transportation, warehousing, purchasing, planning, and inventory control/reporting functions.
4. Must work cooperatively with corporate teams, customers, production, quality, logistics and finance to assure coordination to meet customer expectations.
5. Inform leadership and customers of shipping dates and manage delays. Resolve customer concerns, in a timely manner.
6. Oversee daily, monthly, and annual supply chain related reports and KPIs as well as maintain accurate records in ERP system. Continuously, improve GreenLight Bio’s ERP system functionality to simplify and automate processes
7. Coordinates import and export, liaises with custom brokers for updated reporting procedures and valuations as needed.
8. Supply Chain lead for implementation of ERP system.
9. Reviews and controlling cost within budget will also be critical.
