Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

A Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure works on our core product, third-party
integrations, and predictive technologies. As an engineer you will work with a
cross-functional team to deliver new, high-quality code to production every
day. You will work primarily in our AWS cloud infrastructure to configure systems, ensure scalability and growth, and provide expertise to support all engineering infrastructure needs.

What you will do:

• Write maintainable code in our web-based products, APIs, cloud formation templates, scripts, and etc.
• Develop automated tests and validations to ensure acceptance
  criteria is met for all infrastructure, products and features.
• Design and architect cloud infrastructure in AWS.
  
• Participate in code reviews for other engineers
  and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed. (e.g. testability,
  efficiency, accuracy, guidelines, design patterns).
  
• Respond to and triage product or system issues.
  Debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing the root cause followed by writing
  and deploying solutions rapidly.
• Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with
  engineers, product managers, and executives to improve customer experience and
  product quality.
• Work
  on additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you will need:

• Experience working with Python, PHP, or
  JavaScript and corresponding frameworks.
• Knowledge of and ability to implement common web
  architecture and software design patterns api gateways, networking, containers, etc.
• Strong working k nowledge of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS)
  tools, container orchestration systems (K8s, ECS, or equiv.), and container
  engines (docker)
• Experience designing relational database models,
  writing efficient SQL queries, and using production systems using ORM
  frameworks.
• Understanding of the
  end-to-end SDLC, and efficiently uses development tools to monitor and analyze
  real-time application performance (APM/Logging) and automation tools for
  continuous integration, deployment, and testing (CI/CD).
• Proficient in version control systems (git)
  including trunk-based development, multiple release planning, cherry picking,
  and rebase.
