Senior Product Manager - Personalization

Spotify
New York, NY

The Personalization team makes deciding what to play next easier and more enjoyable for every listener. From Blend to Discover Weekly, we’re behind some of Spotify’s most-loved features. We built them by understanding the world of music and podcasts better than anyone else. Join us and you’ll keep millions of users listening by making great recommendations to each and every one of them.

Spotify is building the future of music, podcasts, and audio experiences — and conversational AI is a key part of that journey. Within our Conversation Product Area, we’re creating the platform that powers intelligent, interactive experiences across Spotify.

In this role, you’ll lead the Agent Platform — the foundation behind experiences like AI DJ, Prompted Playlists, and integrations with partners such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Alexa. You’ll help bring these systems together into a unified platform that enables teams across Spotify to build consistent, high-quality conversational experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Agent Platform that powers conversational experiences across Spotify

  • Build a unified platform that supports features like AI DJ, Search, Prompted Playlists, and partner integrations

  • Work closely with internal engineering teams to understand their needs and improve how they build and scale agent-based experiences

  • Shape the tools, capabilities, and integrations the platform provides, balancing immediate product needs with long-term scalability

  • Define and track metrics that measure agent performance, including quality, reliability, latency, and cost

  • Partner with engineering, design, and product leaders to align priorities and deliver on shared goals

  • Ensure strong observability, evaluation, and monitoring capabilities are built into the platform

  • Stay up to date with advances in AI and conversational systems, and apply those insights to evolve the platform

Who You Are

  • You have 6+ years of product management experience, including work on platform, infrastructure, or developer-focused products

  • You have experience working with AI or machine learning products, such as LLM-based systems or conversational experiences

  • You are comfortable engaging in technical discussions and making trade-offs between different system designs

  • You have experience working across teams and aligning stakeholders in complex, evolving environments

  • You think deeply about developer experience and care about building tools that help others move faster

  • You are comfortable working in ambiguity and helping shape product direction while delivering results

  • You communicate clearly and can translate complex technical ideas into simple, compelling narratives

  • You have experience with evaluation systems, agent frameworks, or similar technologies, or you’re excited to learn

Where You'll Be

  • This role is based in New York City

  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home

The United States base range for this position is $147,595–$210,850 USD, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, paid flexible holidays, and paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Spotify is an equal opportunity employer. You are welcome at Spotify for who you are, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or what’s playing in your headphones. Our platform is for everyone, and so is our workplace. The more voices we have represented and amplified in our business, the more we will all thrive, contribute, and be forward-thinking! So bring us your personal experience, your perspectives, and your background. It’s in our differences that we will find the power to keep revolutionizing the way the world listens.

At Spotify, we are passionate about inclusivity and making sure our entire recruitment process is accessible to everyone. We have ways to request reasonable accommodations during the interview process and help assist in what you need. If you need accommodations at any stage of the application or interview process, please let us know - we’re here to support you in any way we can.

Spotify transformed music listening forever when we launched in 2008. Our mission is to unlock the potential of human creativity by giving a million creative artists the opportunity to live off their art and billions of fans the chance to enjoy and be passionate about these creators. Everything we do is driven by our love for music and podcasting. Today, we are the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service.
