Strong familiarity with the EDI-driven shipping and retail ecosystem is required, particularly within an apparel import environment, including knowledge of overseas production timelines, freight movement, and domestic distribution.

Hands-on experience utilizing EDI within an in-house ERP system; familiarity with Shopify Plus or similar e-commerce platforms is a strong advantage.

Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills—able to build, manipulate, and analyze large datasets for inventory planning, order tracking, and operational reporting.

Manage product setup and listing workflows, including creation of product listing worksheets, style setup, UPC generation, and uploads across multiple retail and e-commerce platforms.

Execute core EDI functions such as issuing and managing POs (850), processing acknowledgments (855), handling ASNs (856), and invoices (810), ensuring compliance with major retailer requirements.

Maintain accurate catalogs and data integrity across systems, including customer profiles, NRF color codes, UPCs, and style master data.

Coordinate closely with overseas vendors, freight forwarders, warehouses, and buying teams to track production, shipments, and deliveries, ensuring timelines are met.

Manage PO entry, allocations, and replenishment, supporting merchandising planning and inventory projections to align with sales demand.

Proactively resolve order and shipment issues across vendors, warehouses, and retailers, including discrepancies, routing issues, and pick/pack errors.

Lead EDI testing, onboarding, and certification with new retail partners to ensure smooth integration and ongoing compliance.

Strong communication skills required to interface cross-functionally with vendors, logistics partners, internal merchandising teams, and retail buyers.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple workflows.

Minimum 5+ years of experience as an EDI Specialist within apparel, preferably working with major retailers and import-driven supply chains.

• Industry Background:
  2-5+ years of experience in apparel, preferably within an import-driven business working with major U.S. retailers (e.g., department stores, off-price, or big-box). Strong understanding of the full lifecycle—from overseas production to final retail delivery.
• EDI Expertise:
  Deep hands-on experience with EDI transactions (850, 855, 856, 810, 846, etc.), including retailer compliance, onboarding, testing, and ongoing maintenance. Comfortable working with platforms such as SPS Commerce, CommerceHub, DSCO, or similar.
• Systems & Technical Skills:
  Experience with ERP systems commonly used in apparel (e.g., A2000, Apparel Magic, RLM) and working knowledge of Shopify Plus or similar platforms. Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, reporting).
• Product & Data Management:
  Strong experience in style setup, UPC creation, NRF color codes, catalog management, and maintaining clean, accurate product data across systems and retailer requirements.
• Supply Chain & Import Knowledge:
  Solid understanding of import processes, including production timelines, freight movement (ocean/air), customs flow, and warehouse coordination. Ability to track and manage orders from factory to final delivery.
• Operational Strength:
  Proven ability to manage high-volume PO entry, allocations, replenishment, and inventory planning. Strong problem-solving skills to resolve order discrepancies, routing issues, and vendor/warehouse challenges.
• Communication & Coordination:
  Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to work closely with overseas vendors, freight forwarders, warehouses, merchandising teams, and retail buyers.
