Radiologic CT Technologist - Part-Time Days/Evenings FLEX

Serving in a hybrid role as both a Radiologic Technologist and CT Technologist, you will be responsible for a multitude of CT exams including biopsies and Interventional CT, along with a multitude of Dx radiography imaging exams. Employee will be knowledgeable and dedicated to radiation safety. Employee will provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff with an emphasis on quality service and excellent patient care. Employee must be self-motivated and demonstrate ability to work as a team.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Imaging department procedures and protocols .
    • Capable of setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality
    • Capable of positioning patient for optimal images
    • Capable of following protocols for specific exams
    • Capable of evaluating images for quality
    • Capable of accurately following physician's instructions
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Imaging department policies.
    • Consistently follows patient identification policy.
    • Understands the correct exam needed and patient factors
    • Documents any changes/variation to protocol on requisition
    • Follows all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (per sites worked)


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Education - Minimum of Associates degree, Radiologic Sciences program. ARRT Certification in CT preferred. For those not currently certified, the requirement is to become certified within one (1) year of the date of hire into this role (except for Per Diems - where this will not be required - but still is preferred)
  • Experience - Preference of two years' experience, but new graduates welcomed.
  • Licensure - ARRT credentials for diagnostic imaging and NYS license. Also must receive the enhanced NYS license for injection, on or before completion of introductory period.

  • Problem solving ability and attention to detail is preferred
  • Good written and oral communication skills preferred. Requires ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely and adjust to changes in work volumes.





Physical Requirements :

  • Able to stand for long periods of time; requires manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination. Able to perform light lifting, up to 40 pounds.


Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Location: Onsite at Schuyler Hospital - 220 Steuben St, Montour Falls, NY 14865. May be scheduled to work shifts at other area locations based upon department and patient needs.
  • Shift: Part-Time Days/Evenings FLEX. Anticipated schedule of approximately 26 hours weekly, with rotating weekends and holidays. Call as required/scheduled according to department and patient needs.
  • Travel: 0%-5% Local Travel can be expected in this role


Pay Range Disclosure:

  • Standard Rate of $31.25 to $50.48 per hour plus benefits
