Salary: $200,000 - $225,000/annually Bonus & Equity Location: Manhattan, NY - *Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite*Job Description:
Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS .
Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor robust internal control policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with department heads to develop annual budgets and provide monthly variance analysis to track performance against goals.
Compliance & Tax: Oversee all tax filings, regulatory reporting, and coordinate with external auditors for year-end reviews or audits.
Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, debt obligations, and banking relationships to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the accounting staff (AP, AR, Payroll), fostering a culture of professional growth and precision.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is highly preferred.
Experience: 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
Technical Savvy: Expert-level proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics).
Analytical Rigor: A natural ability to spot trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost savings within complex datasets.
