Warehouse Associate
Sanico is a family-owned wholesale distributor of janitorial and cleaning supplies across Upstate New York and Northeast Pennsylvania. We are actively recruiting for a Warehouse Associate to support our inventory management and logistical operations at our Syracuse Branch location. The position involves receiving shipments, stocking inventory, pick/pack of orders, prepping deliveries and loading trucks.
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented logistics professional, who is eager to join a collegial and collaborative team to help us grow by doing right by our customers.Responsibilities
- Receive and check in inbound inventory shipments
- Stock newly received inventory promptly
- Ensure proper rotation of inventory
- Pick orders for next-day deliveries
- Learn product numbers
- Locate, identify, move product
- Assist with loading delivery trucks using a pallet jack or hand truck
- Pick, pack, ship of orders to be delivered via 3rd party carrier
- Movement of inventory using forklift or pallet jacks
- "Plan C" backup delivery driver in the event driver absence
Qualifications
- Positive, professional attitude REQUIRED
- Valid driver's license REQUIRED
- Must have own, reliable transportation
- Warehouse experience PREFERRED, not REQUIRED.
- We are willing to hire & train applicants who demonstrate strong work ethic and aptitude
- Forklift, pallet jack, hand truck experience PREFERRED
- Capable of being on your feet for 8-hour shift
- Able to lift up to 60 pounds manually
- Work record of strong attendance, reliability
- Forklift certification PREFERRED
- Straight Truck driving experience NICE TO HAVE
- Basic computer skills.
- Associate will need to attain basic aptitude with company's ERP/Inventory Mgmt system.
Compensation
Hourly pay range: $17.50 – $20.00
Full-time,
Monday through Friday, 800a - 430p
