Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients on the inpatient Med/Surg/Oncology unit, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Assess patient and family needs, develop an individualized plan of care, implement interventions, and monitor progress
- Administer medications and therapies, monitor responses, manage symptoms, and uphold infection prevention and safety standards
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, self-care after discharge, medications, and health promotion strategies
- Document findings, care plans, patient education, and outcomes accurately; participate in discharge planning and coordination with the care team
- Communicate changes in patient status to the physician and team; advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the healing process

Requirements
- NYS RN licensure (active)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI), NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience
- Ability to work 3x12 rotating shifts and on-call shifts as scheduled; able to work in an inpatient hospital setting
- Oncology inpatient care experience preferred but not required
