• Location: Utica, NY (Zip: 13502) – New York healthcare jobs
• Facility: Emergency Department (64 beds: trauma, acute, psychiatric, and pediatric care areas)
• Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Registered Nurse
• Assignment Dates: September 29, 2025 – December 27, 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shifts: 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130 - $2190

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York, verified via NURSYS
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience, including pediatric care
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Completed skills checklist for emergency nursing specialty
• Two recent references from ED Charge/Manager RNs
• Updated resume reflecting travel nursing experience
• Valid driver’s license with address matching application demographics
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• At least 1 year of experience required

Key Responsibilities for ER Registered Nurse

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based emergency care for patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Deliver care to patients across the lifespan: newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Demonstrate leadership and charge nurse skills in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Float to additional units as required to support hospital operations
