MAITRE D’ / FLOOR MANAGER
Five Acres is opening in the heart of Rockefeller Center — Chef Greg Baxtrom’s first Manhattan restaurant and the newest addition to the Olmsted, Maison Yaki, and Patti Ann’s family.
We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Maitre D’ / Floor Manager to lead our door, manage reservations, and oversee floor flow. This is a leadership role requiring strong systems knowledge, team mentorship, and hands-on service management.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the host team; set and uphold hospitality standards
Manage the reservation book strategically to maximize covers and protect guest experience
Full working knowledge of OpenTable and Resy (required)
Develop and implement reservation systems and SOPs
Identify and manage VIP profiles and guest notes
Oversee onboarding and training for hosts
Actively manage the floor during service, balancing reservations, walk-ins, and pacing
Communicate consistently with management and service team
Experience with Toast POS required
Qualifications
Strong leadership experience in a high-volume or fine dining environment
Advanced proficiency in OpenTable and Resy
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Calm and decisive under pressure
Passionate about guest experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
