Metal Finisher

Summary:

Parabit Systems, a well-established and rapidly expanding company in the security and self-service equipment industries, is currently seeking an experienced, motivated, innovative, problem solver with a comprehensive understanding of all facets of Metal Work and Finishing. Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the field. The applicant must be proficient in fabricating top quality finished products. Applicants must be able to read and review shop drawings. A strong work ethic and personal commitment to quality and service are essential for this position. Adhering to deadlines and time management skills are essential. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills that is highly organized, reliable, trustworthily, and efficacy driven.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Job duties include grinding, sanding, and filling uneven surfaces, polishing and coating metal, and etching decorative details.
• Removes dents, scratches, and defects from metal surfaces using stroke sanders, hand power tools and pneumatic tools.
• Operate a variety of machines for metal finishing.
• Follow safety instructions including P.P.E. Fill out paperwork to accurately track traceability on all parts.
• Ability to read and review fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Consistently work within tight tolerances.
• Manufacture high quality products.
• Very knowledgeable with sanding, preparation, finishing, application, polishing, repair and manual machining techniques.
• Exceptionally knowledgeable in various millwork products such as laminates, solid surfacing, painted finishes, and stainless steel.
• Must adhere to established procedures/processes/policies.
• Self-Motivated, with a strong work ethic.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma.
• 3 years' experience in metalwork.
• Painting or Powder-Coating knowledge a big plus.
• Able to work as a team and motivate employees.
