Maintenance Supervisor

Department: Maintenance FLSA Status: Full-time non-exempt, may include nights/weekends Salary: $41,995.20 annually Closing Date: May 15, 2026 Native Preference in Hiring Background check for employment purposesSummary: MIHC is seeking an experienced hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations for our rental properties. This position works alongside the maintenance crew while supervising staff, coordinating repairs, conducting inspections, and ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and turnaround standards. The Maintenance Supervisor also supports scheduled Food Pantry pickups and distribution needs as requested. Paid holidays, accrued Vacation and Sick Leave and Personal Leave included. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise maintenance staff and daily work orders Perform hands-on maintenance tasks and repairs Ensure timely unit turnovers and property readiness Conduct regular property and unit inspections Order supplies and manage vendor/contractor relationships Maintain compliance with safety and housing codes Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed Coordinate with the Food Pantry for scheduled pickups, deliveries, and distribution support as requestedQualification and Skill Requirements:
Minimum of 18 years of age Valid, clean NYS drivers license; must meet MIHC insurance eligibility High School Diploma or GED 2-5 years residential maintenance experience; supervisory experience preferred Strong hands-on skills in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions Excellent organizational and communication skills Trade certifications a plus Must maintain a positive, respectful attitude and uphold confidentialityApply at the Mohawk Indian Housing Corporation, Main Office,
