Data analyst

The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description As a Data Analyst 2 in the Research and Statistic Bureau, duties include but not limited to: • Produce business intelligence solutions by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports• Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in data sources• Assess data structures and how they can be used to produce desired reports• Research new data sources and analytical tools, and recommend solutions• Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that business intelligence solutions are consistent with defined needs• Test, validate, and reformulate models to ensure accurate predication of outcomes of interest• Draft new functions or applications in programming languages to conduct analyses• Create written reports and effectively communicate/present results• May supervise lower-level staff

The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Non-Competitive Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year of permanent service as a Data Analyst 1; OR Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools; ORMaster's degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, and two (2) years of the specialized experience; ORPh.D. degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, and one (1) year of the specialized experience.Preferred Qualifications: Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.
