Production Mechanic

We are seeking production equipment technicians to work in the facility of a prestigious financial services company in Brentwood, NY. This is a direct hire opportunity with a tenured company. Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Respond to Technical Support calls in a prompt manner to ensure timely resolution.
• Appropriately log all support calls into the tracking system to ensure all work time and parts are appropriately accounted for.
• Install electrical wiring and controls for all production-related equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware related to production equipment.
• Relocate production equipment and support the installation of new equipment
• Track parts usage and provide input to management regarding inventory levels.
• Provide feedback to leadership regarding performance appraisals of junior technicians.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements. This may include the use and maintenance of an equipment tracking database.
• Must be comfortable with weekends, 12 hour shifts, and 70-80 hours per week during peak season and high volume periods

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 12 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
