Financial manager

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation, analysis, and reporting of the organization’s financial activities. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, supports audit and budgeting processes, and provides strategic financial insights to the Controller and senior management. The Finance Reporting Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial data and driving informed decision-making across the organization. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Financial Reporting:
- Lead the preparation of Quarterly and Year-End Financial Statements, including Budget vs. Actual analysis, GAAP compliance, Variance Analysis, and Notes to Financial Statements (Year-End only).
- Develop and review Information and Tax Return Work-Papers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage reconciliations for Payroll, Bank Accounts, Harvest Room, Farmer’s Market EBT, Investments, and Gala Reporting.
- Oversee Fixed Asset maintenance and reporting to ensure proper tracking and depreciation.
- Perform detailed analysis of investment activities, including portfolio performance and returns.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of investment transactions in the general ledger.
- Reconcile investment accounts and provide variance analysis to identify discrepancies or trends.
- Collaborate with the Controller to align investment reporting with organizational financial goals.
- Facilitate audit processes, including Financial Statement audits, A133 audits, and insurancerelated audits (Worker’s Compensation, Security, General Liability).
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of audit documentation.
- Collaborate with the Controller to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial planning and resource allocation.
- Prepare and submit RPIE and TC Forms in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage JFP Reporting, including Monthly Parking Operation Variance Reports and Analysis.
- Oversee GJLDC Revolving Loan Fund Reporting and ensure compliance with program guidelines.
- Generate adhoc financial reports to support organizational decisionmaking and strategic initiatives.
- Provide detailed variance analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; or advanced certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and audit preparation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of accounting software, including Sage Intacct.
