Family Partner
Pro Action’s Head Start Program is looking for two full-time, 10-month Family Partner that will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling eligible children and families, completing home visits with program participants, providing parent education and family engagement opportunities, support families in a goal setting process and accessing additional resources, assisting with classroom coverage as needed. This position will cover the Bath/Corning and Avoca/Jasper Troupsburg Head Start locations and/or other areas of service as needed.
Requirements
The position requires a degree or credential in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field at hire or within 18 months of hire. A minimum of an associate’s degree or Family Development Credential is preferred. Home visiting experience, experience working with families and youth, and a knowledge of Steuben County community resources is strongly preferred. Strong organizational, computer, communication, and time management skills are also of value.
The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license, meeting agency standards per position and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area.
