Ux design lead
Job DescriptionOur client is looking for a UX Design Lead to join their team full-time. The UX Design Lead will oversee a small team and play a hands-on role in shaping the future of the company's design systems and platform experiences. This leader will work closely with cross-functional partners to define what the platform means for users and internal teams, helping shift organizational thinking and elevate design maturity.This is a full-time, direct hire role that will be hybrid (3x per week) in one of the following locations: Wilmington, DE, Baltimore, MD, Charlotte, NC, Irving, TX, or New York, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead a new initiative within this organization.UX Design Lead Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team of UX designers, providing coaching, performance evaluation, and talent development.- Drive the strategy and execution of design systems across enterprise-level experiences.- Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to influence platform direction and ensure cohesive user experiences.- Champion end-to-end design thinking, from discovery through delivery.- Facilitate portfolio reviews and guide team members in showcasing process, leadership, and impact.- Advocate for the value of design systems and communicate their strategic importance across the organization.- Help build and define platform standards in partnership with adjacent teams.UX Design Lead Requirements: - Minimum 10 years of product design experience; Minimum 5 years experience leading design projects and managing design teams in fast-paced environments.- Strong background in enterprise UX and design systems leadership.- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change.- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and organizational transformation.- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design rationale and system-level thinking.- Experience evaluating design talent and supporting team growth.- Open mindset, action-oriented, and adaptable to evolving priorities.- Financial services experience is a plus but not required.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information.
