Ultrasound / Sono Tech - Echocardiogram - USTECH 25-19813
Job Title: Ultrasound / Sono Tech - Echocardiogram
Duration: 13 weeks contract (Extendable)
Location: Flushing, NY 11355
Shift Timing: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Includes 60-minute break)
Responsibilities:
- Perform pediatric echocardiograms using ultrasound equipment to assess cardiac structures and function.
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring accurate image acquisition.
- Evaluate and interpret sonographic data to provide preliminary findings for physician review.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols in ultrasound imaging.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, resolving or reporting issues as needed.
- Recognize patient-related concerns and seek clinical assistance from MD/RN when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist in maintaining an organized work environment, including supply management and clerical tasks.
Requirements:
- Education : High school diploma/GED plus completion of an approved Echocardiogram Training Program (Required).
- Certification : Echocardiography certification through CCI or ARDMS (Echo) (Required).
- Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echocardiogram Technician I (Required).
- Pediatric Experience: Must have prior pediatric echocardiography experience (Required).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating echocardiogram equipment and supplies.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve equipment issues and escalate patient concerns when needed.
- Clerical Skills: Basic administrative skills for documentation and reporting.
