About the Role:
The Full-Time, Medical Receptionist at Brooklyn Gastroenterology & Endoscopy in Brooklyn, NY plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the healthcare facility. This position is responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records, which are essential for providing high-quality care. The Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, creating a welcoming environment and addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Additionally, this role involves coordinating with medical staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and support administrative functions. Ultimately, the Medical Receptionist contributes significantly to the overall patient experience and operational efficiency of the practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant.
- Experience with medical billing and coding.
- Bilingual skills in English and another language.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient visits.
- Maintain and update patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Assist with insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
