Job Summary

The Patient Lead Assistant is responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience from initial contact through follow-up care. This role includes patient coordination, management of patient information, and assisting healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
• Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up visits, optimizing scheduling for efficiency.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support medical staff during patient examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Respond to patient inquiries promptly, providing information about services, insurance, and billing.
• Train and oversee junior staff and coordinate teamwork to enhance the patient experience.
• Assist in the management of medical supplies and inventory for the clinic.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient service programs.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as Medical Assistant (MA) or equivalent are advantageous.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare software.

Desired Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an administrative or patient-facing role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
