About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Worker at a prestigious law firm located Lower Manhattan . The ideal candidate must have prior law firm or corporate office experience and demonstrate the utmost professionalism, discretion, and reliability in maintaining a pristine and secure work environment.

Summary

Responsible for ensuring the general cleanliness, maintenance, and professional appearance of public areas and designated firm floors. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining top-notch building conditions and supporting the firm’s operational needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain pantries, restrooms, elevator lobbies, corridors, and reception areas.
• Empty trash, restock sanitizer and soap dispensers, and maintain overall cleanliness of assigned floors.
• Assist with daily conference room setups for meetings and luncheons; ensure rooms are properly cleaned and arranged.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as:
• • Changing light bulbs
  • Taking temperature readings
  • Replacing air filters
  • Sweeping/mopping floors and vacuuming/shampooing carpets using appropriate equipment
• Handle office moves including relocation of furniture, files, and office equipment (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs).
• Assist with new hire setups and workstation preparation.
• Adhere to firm policies regarding confidentiality and information security , including reporting potential security risks or incidents.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a law firm or professional corporate environment is required.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and sound judgment in a high-pressure setting.
• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn Outlook Email, ServiceNow ticketing software, and maintenance tools/equipment (carpet shampooer, extractor, etc.).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
